I began my career with the Spokane Fire Department on March 1, 1999, after leaving a position at Kaiser Aluminum due to a labor dispute. That experience marked the beginning of my journey and education in union work. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of serving at stations 1, 3, 4, 13, 15, and SIU before becoming a fire investigator in the Special Investigation Unit. I currently work at Station 6 on C shift, serving the West Plains area near my home. Throughout my career, I’ve been fortunate to learn from and work alongside some of the best the Spokane Fire Department and Local 29 have to offer. Their thoughtfulness and historical perspective have greatly influenced my approach to union leadership. My wife and I have a blended family with seven children, ranging in age from 15 to 24. Outside of work, I dedicate my time to teaching fire safety skills to school-aged children with disabilities through my wife’s nonprofit, The ISAAC Foundation
